Did An Infomercial

Yup. Last week I joined some friends to work on an infomercial-esque promo video for this new trash bag product.

It'll be shown in places like BJ's Wholesale Club, right at the point of purchase (next to the bags on display on a small video screen). It was a painless, well paying shoot- here are some photos courtesy of Maria Green.

When It Rains It Pours: "Chain"

Today Joe, Dana, Kevin, Alex and I shot Joe's short flim entitled Chain.

Chain marks the first flim of the new decade- not to mention the first in a long time that doesn't feature Joe, TJ, or myself acting. Kevin Lowney & Alex Lewis lent their talents today for a few hours and managed to deliver what promises to be a pair of highly entertaining performances. One might even call this flim a swan song to Nerve (which is rounding the bend into color correction).

Between this and Kevin Built A Proton Pack I'll certainly have my hands full editing. Not to mention shooting- both movies require a small amount of reshooting.

But both will be amazing.

New Movies, Flim Fest Makes IMDB

So this weekend I started work on what will go down as the most vain piece I have ever worked on. Ryan, TJ, Kristen, Anthony and I started work on "Kevin Built A Proton Pack"- a project I hope to wrap editing & effects on sometime this week. You can imagine what happens in the movie by the title.

This Tuesday Joe Botsch and I will be joining forces with Kevin Lowney and Alex Lewis to shoot a short Joe came up with some time ago. Details are hush hush for now but I'll be sure to post any updates when available.

There's also some neat news from the world of Flim: Flim Fest made IMDB's festival archive! Flim Fest also made Wikipedia recently- a sure sign that we've made it. Flim Fest 2010 discussions have already begun (mostly due to my restlessness and compulsive tendencies).

New Kids on the Rock: The Lost Episode

I'm sad to report that the second episode of season two, "Unlucked," from New Kids on the Rock shall never be completed.

I just got word today that all of our footage from the episode has been taken out of our hands. The footage was on a rig at PRS for a while after Ryan, Neil and I left and we never managed to get it all in our hands in order to finish the beast. The computer is now gone along with our completed rough edit of the show- it's gone folks.

But not all is lost: you can watch the rough cut of the opening on YouTube and read the entire script here. The episode was honestly piecing together to be the best one yet- no lie. The jokes were a real treat to watch, we were all on our A game acting wise, and the visual effects were pretty spot on.

Enjoy the opening! And read the script!
